Embark on a meaningful journey during Castlewellan Holiday Week 2024, centered around the theme "Crown Laid Down," from August 3rd to August 10th.
Accommodation Options:
1. Castlewellan Forest Park Camping and Caravanning: Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature within Castlewellan Forest Park. Camp or caravan amidst serene surroundings, allowing for a peaceful retreat close to the heart of the week's activities. Booking for this opened on the 23rd January at 10 am. [Click here to book]
Note: Dovecote Yard pitches are not available throughout 2024 due to ongoing redevelopment works.
2. Update Castlewellan Castle : Due to circumstances outside of the control of the committee, there will be no accommodation available in the Castle this year.
Hopefully those who plan to attend the week who had intended to stay in the Castle will be able to make alternative arrangements to stay elsehere in the area.
It is hoped that this will not be the end of the relationship between our holiday week and the Castle, and we will revisit the issue for CHW 2025. (updated 5/2/24)
3. New Camping and Caravanning Option - Carrigs Road, Newcastle: Explore our new budget-friendly camping and caravanning site just a three miles away at Carrigs Road, Newcastle. This costs £18 per night for per unit (carcan, motor home or tent) , it includes essential amenities like showers and toilets, although there's no electric hook-up. This option can be booked using the conference booking form.
4. Local Accommodation: Stay off-site in various local accommodations and attend the conference every day or on days that suit you. Day visitors are always welcome, offering flexibility for those not staying on site.
